A Pearl Wedding Inspiration Board with Gold + Cream {a bit like The Great Gatsby}

I love each of the images in today's inspiration board. Pearls are a great theme for a wedding and it's possible to incorporate them in an understated way so they don't take over the entire decor. You might even want to include pearls in your wedding bouquet like this one. You could go completely vintage and bring back the roaring 20's by having your bridesmaids wear pearls with flapper style dresses. You could think of it as a Great Gatsby Glam Wedding.

A Green Wedding Inspiration Board for St. Patrick's Day

With tomorrow being St. Patrick's Day, I just had to put together an inspiration board for the holiday and for green weddings - with a touch of plaid and glitter. How cute are those green glittered clothespins? They could be used in so many ways - attaching the menu to the folded napkin, attaching the table number to the potted plant centerpiece or even to hold a paper banner up. And, of course a green velvet wedding cake would be just perfect for the green holiday wedding.

Charleston, South Carolina Destination Wedding

Type of wedding: outdoors
Number of guests: 120
Colors: brown, purple, green
Theme: orchids, oyster shells

Bart and Heather are college sweethearts and their wedding day was absolutely gorgeous. Don't you just love the brides ruffled shoes? The beautiful photographs are by Chi Photography of Charleston and when they asked the couple for their most valuable piece of advice, here's what they said. "Eat first! Don’t get caught up talking to everyone." For the brides "something old" she had her mother's lace on her garter and her grandmother's pearls on her bracelet and earrings. Her "something new" was her wedding dress and shoes. "Something borrowed" was her sister's ring and the "something blue" was the bottom of her shoes and her grandmother's broach on her garter.
