An Arizona Wedding at the Luxury Tanque Verde Ranch

Alexis + Daniel had a super sweet communion ceremony where they wrote their own vows and also filled a box with love letters to each other and a bottle of wine which is to be opened if they are going through a rough patch or on their 5 year anniversary. Such a great idea!!! Alexis designed and made the invitations herself. The beautiful photographs are by Hergert Photography.

I've seen this idea before and I am so in love with it. It's a new take on the first look for the couple that doesn't want to seach other before the ceremony. You stand on opposite sides of a wall or door and hold hands. It's a great way to make your day a bit more special for each other. In the case of the wedding of Alexis and Daniel, they wanted to be able to exchange a few words and pray together without actually seeing each other.

The cross necklace on the bride's bouquet was a memento of her late grandfather.

A starry night wedding reception in Mesa, Arizona

Did you know that Arizona is a great place to have a wedding reception? According to the photographers of Amanda and Derrick's wedding, Photography by Verdi, they say it is because it hardly ever rains. Mindi and Rich say "You have to have really bad luck if it rains on your wedding in Arizona." As a result of this, Amanda and Derrick's reception was held under a star lit sky, so magical. Oh, and don't you just love the brides beautiful gown? I love the lace detailing on the sleeves and the succulents in her bouquet are gorgeous too.
