A New Hampshire Wedding : the Cake and Favors

I just had to share with you this presentation of the cake for a New Hampshire outdoor wedding seen at Country Living. I don't think I've seen anything like it before. What do you think? Would you attempt having your cake higher than the main table? This cake is on top of two vintage metal tables that serve as cake stands for the cake itself and buttercream-frosted cupcakes. And, the maple syrup favors also did double-duty as place cards. You can see more of the wedding here.

I think this presentation of the cake is stunning. I also love the cupcakes, which seem to be a huge trend right now. While we're seeing a lot of cupcake towers, it's also nice to see them being used as "accesories."
