Valentine's Engagements Reap Wedding Savings
Spend the ultimate lovers’ holiday in the heart of the capital region, where a resort-like setting and ideal location are a romantic backdrop to pop the question. Couples who say “I will” while they are at the hotel for an elegant five-course Valentine’s dinner or Ultimate Romance getaway package can qualify for 20 percent off wedding celebrations held at Westfields Marriott by Feb. 13, 2015.
“Research on Valentine’s proposals varies, but some studies suggest as many as six million couples planned to get engaged on the holiday last year,” says Scott McClinton, general manager, Westfields Marriott. “An engagement is an exciting time, and we want to be among the first to offer congratulations with a special savings offer.”
Valentine’s dinner in the posh, newly restyled Fairfax Dining Room includes a champagne toast and live entertainment. Executive Chef Todd Schofield created a tantalizing menu beginning with roasted butternut squash soup with apple coulis; duck confit and frisée salad with mustard vinaigrette; and champagne sorbet. Choose from four mouthwatering entrées, including grilled filet mignon with roasted garlic; seared scallops with lemon beurre blanc; Frenched chicken breast with sweet potato mash; and wild mushroom and sweet pea risotto. Save room for decadent chocolate crème brûlée for dessert. Dinner is served on Friday and Saturday, Feb. 14-15, 2014, for $120 per couple. Tax and gratuity are extra.
The Ultimate Romance package combines dinner with luxurious overnight accommodations and breakfast the next morning. Champagne and chocolate-covered strawberries are in-room amenities. The package is $249 per couple and available for stays beginning Feb. 14 or 15. Tax and gratuity are extra.
With 40,000 square feet of event space, four stunning ballrooms and a breathtaking outdoor Sunset Terrace with stately white pillars and sweeping views, Westfields Marriott is the perfect setting for weddings in Chantilly, VA and all the celebrations that come with them, including receptions, showers, rehearsals and engagement parties. The newly redesigned Fairfax Dining Room is the ideal spot for intimate weddings, featuring a sophisticated country club ambience and flexible layout for a seamless transition from ceremony to dinner to dancing.
The 20 percent wedding discount is off a wedding’s master bill and is available to guests who purchase, and get engaged during, Westfields Marriott Washington Dulles’ Valentine’s dinner or Ultimate Romance package. An event specialist will be available onsite to qualify couples and offer tours of event space. Couples must provide their names to the event specialist before they leave the hotel to receive the discount. Wedding must be held at Westfields Marriott by Feb. 13, 2015.
