Jittery would-be grooms can put their anxieties aside with the Woodstock Inn & Resort’s new “Engagement Turndown” package to ensure that their planned proposal ends with just the right kind of response. The romantic new package swaps the traditional turndown service in favor of more memorable (and sparkling) turn-down treats once the groom slips the ring to the Inn’s concierge, it will be delivered with: a bottle of chilled Champagne, flowers and chocolates while the couple is out to dinner. To continue the celebration, a hearty Vermont breakfast is served in bed. The package starts at $469 for a two night stay.
“The best proposals are well-executed surprises,” said Werner Graef, president and general manager of the Woodstock Inn & Resort. “We’re committed to making sure that the first step in getting hitched goes off without a hitch. Many couples opt to bring their love story full circle, with the Inn offering all the requisite components of a truly memorable wedding day.” To make the occasion even more unforgettable, the Inn can also arrange for a couples massage at the Inn’s 10,000-square-foot LEED-certified spa and dinner by candlelight at The Red Rooster and Richardson’s Tavern.
The Inn provides guests with a number of recreational and dining options to enhance their romantic stay. The Red Rooster, the resort’s award-winning fine dining restaurant emphasizes a menu using fresh, local ingredients sourced from the best purveyors in New England. Richardson’s Tavern offers a cozy old-world atmosphere with a full bar and live music. Resort activities include an 18-hole Robert Trent Jones designed golf course, a 41,000 square foot Racquet & Fitness Club, which includes indoor and outdoor tennis courts, indoor racquetball courts, a 30-by-60 foot indoor lap pool, a whirlpool, workout equipment and a steam room and sauna. Guests can also enjoy downtown Woodstock filled with antique shops, art galleries, boutiques, restaurants, specialty food markets and more.
