Paul Martin's American Bistro

Paul Martin’s American Bistro is now designated as a “Preferred Partner” for catering private events and weddings at Helwig Vineyards and Winery in Plymouth, CA. The restaurant has also added Helwig’s 2009 “Round Up” Red to their award-winning wine list in their El Segundo restaurant and Roseville restaurant.

Paul Martin’s is excited to add the easy-drinking Helwig red blend to the offerings at the Bistro. According to the winemaker, this red consists of “just about everything in the cellar” and has a “smooth, medium palate weight with dried red fleshy fruit, dusty tannins with a red fruit and tobacco finish.” Serving the Shenandoah Valley wine is consistent with the restaurant’s commitment to supporting local vineyards and farms while providing restaurant guests with a consistently outstanding dining experience.

Helwig Vineyards & Winery offers a variety of settings for private or corporate events and weddings, taking full advantage of the incredible views and modern day rustic charm of the winery’s contemporary American barn design. Helwig’s property features their unique “Three Sisters” conference room, a private tasting room, a covered outdoor pavilion with a fireplace, as well as a 5,000 square foot underground cave. Use of the winery’s locations includes tables, chairs, linens, flatware and stemware for events. Paul Martin’s American Bistro is one of four partner caterers that work exclusively with the winery’s On Site Event Coordinator to customize the details and menus of each unique event. Of course, brides and event hosts can take advantage of winemaker Scott Helwig’s expertise in pairing exceptional Helwig wines with final menu selections.

The mantra of Paul Martin’s American Bistro is "Eat organic. Believe in sustainable. Buy local. Love fresh.” Restaurateurs Brian Bennett and Paul Fleming developed the concept for the restaurants, forging over 40 relationships with innovative local farmers, 80 percent of who are located in Northern California. The restaurant continues to expand its list of local, sustainable and organic vendors and is an active supporter of PlacerGrown, a non-profit organization formed to assist local farmers in marketing their products. The organic restaurant has been chosen as a featured caterer by a growing number of local venues based on the Paul Martin’s mission and the popularity of the restaurant’s farm-fresh, seasonal menu selections.
