A Purple and Orange Fall Wedding with Dancing Pumpkins

The fall wedding of Nicole and Jason is so perfect to share with you today on Halloween. Not only does it feature purple and orange which are great colors for the day - but there's even dancing pumpkins. During the wedding the groom's cousin told a story about when her sister married a few years earlier she had wanted to have pumpkins on the table. Her mother had told her she wasn't spending that much money for a Halloween party so the pumpkin idea couldn't be used. As a surprise, Jason and his cousins got together and came out in pumpkin suits and started dancing. Jason's cousin decided to bring the pumpkins to his wedding with Nicole too. When they came out, The Monster Mash started. The gorgeous photography is by Shannon Lee Images.

Eye Candy Friday : v81 {a watercolor bouquet, or is it?}

I'm in love with these bouquets, aren't they breathtaking? They look just like a watercolor painting. I've never seen such a spectacular blue and purple bouquet. {photographed by Shannon Lee Images}

Real Intimate Wedding : a calico cat and a gorgeous tiered gown

Today's Real Wedding, from Shannon Lee Images, features the intimate wedding of Nancy and Adam in St. Louis. Their ceremony was officiated by Adam's father and was witnessed by 25 guests. The bride and groom did something a little bit nontraditional for their wedding, and held their reception the following evening at a closer location to where Adam grew up. I love the idea of spreading out the wedding festivities over a course of 2 days, something that is definitely possible when having an intimate wedding.

Don't you just love Nancy's Maggie Sottero wedding gown?

I love these shots of the little kitty, so cute. The calico cat reminds me of my Sam {aka Samantha} from when I was growing up.

The bride's something blue . . .

Even though it was a chilly, rainy day, I love how Nancy and Adam embraced the weather and grabbed some large umbrellas and got some terrific shots. {more on Shannon's blog}

This is so sweet, Adam changed Nancy's shoes for their first dance. Instead of having a dance at the reception, Nancy and Adam utilized their string quartet for a lovely waltz. Such a unique and wonderful idea.

Real Wedding : it's all in the special moment details

The first of today's Eye Candy Friday Real Weddings is from Shannon Lee Images. The wedding of Kathy and Jonathan took place at Westlake Village Inn which is located in Westlake Village, CA. The landscape at the inn is gorgeous. I love the brides off white dress and the details that Shannon captured are just beautiful. For instance, the monogram charm on the brides bouquet and the bracelet on the bridesmaid as the brides train is being lifted. What special photos to have as a remembrance of your special day.

Congratulations to Kathy and Jonathan on your recent marriage and thank you to Shannon for sharing this wedding with my readers today.
