I am in love with today's photo shoot and the concept of a vintage brunch for a bridal shower. This idea could also work very well for the day after the wedding if you are planning a little get together with the relatives that came into town to celebrate with you.  The photos are gorgeous, as are the colorful floral arrangements. There are so many details to fall in love with - the lace tablecloth, the ribbon banner, the vintage lemonade server, the colander on the scale, the tea set and so much more. Well, since yesterday and today have turned out to be different than I originally planned on - I decided it was time for a lemon yellow inspired wedding inspiration board. I ended up having one dr appt turn into another resulting in me being gone for 3+ hrs yesterday. Luckily a blood clot was ruled out, but I still can't seem to manage the swelling in my left foot that hubby at times refers to it as "elephant foot". Lovely, right? Well, today I have an unplanned appt at the ob to see if anything can be done. One of the many joys of pregnancy in the later months I guess. So, as a result of this, I decided to do some searching and put together this lemon yellow wedding board for you with a touch of hot pink. But, now, I'm really craving a tall glass of lemonade :)

Today's inspiration board was created for the bride of Lauren, who is the owner of Ten23 Designs. Lauren is creating the monogram for the bride and her groom who are planning a spring/summer 2011 wedding. The bride comes from a proud navy family and is marrying into another navy family. She is hoping to have an outdoor ceremony and an inside reception. She's looking to have some type of lemonade booth or table and wants to wear yellow shoes under her dress. From talking with the bride, Lauren also gathered she might want to have lemons worked into the decor. When I came across the photo of the lemons being used a place cards I knew that would be perfect. It's a great way to incorporate lemons, without the need to use them in the floral vases as is often done. And, the brides colors are going to be navy and powder blue with lemon yellow. Here's what I put together as an inspirational starting point for Lauren's bride.
