An Intimate + Magical Day After Wedding Photo Session that combined loves of Disney + Harry Potter

Today's featured Day After the Wedding Photo Session with Leesha and Russell is filled with intimacy and magic.

It's a completely relaxed feel from the hustle and bustle of the wedding day. Get ready to be transformed to a place with the perfect blend of fairytale princess and Harry Potter whimsy.

The gorgeous photos are from Marisa and Tim of Peterson Design & Photography. The couple had married the day before at Disneyland but wanted more photos that combined their two loves - Disney and Harry Potter. Their shoot took place at Victoria Beach in Laguna Beach and since they had a Tangled theme wedding this location was perfect. This beach features an old Victorian lighthouse type structure that was built in 1926 and contains a spiral staircase with access to the beach. Are you ready for lots of stunning photography inspiration?

The scene was set with an elegant beach picnic that combined books, vintage luggage (for the trip to Hogwarts of course!), macarons with quiddich goals, and potion bottles. Paper flowers were made from Harry Potter book pages and there was a laser cut golden snitch. The newlyweds even had their own wands from The Wizarding World of Harry Potter and champagne exclusively from Walt Disney World. All the hand painted details were inspired by the ocean setting and the soft color palette of the day after session.

Alice in Wonderland Fashion Focused Shoot : Wedding Inspiration

I can't even begin to tell you how excited I am to share this spectacular Alice in Wonderland photo shoot with you today. Lisa of Lisa Walsh Photography shared this shoot with me and while it's not a wedding - it's truly inspiring. The dresses are out of this world and I love the idea of incorporating moss and mis-matched dishes into any event. Lisa and Christy love collaborating on shoots that allow them to have full creative license - and this shoot is definitely that. Boy oh boy can this vendor team be creative.

Lisa writes . . ."As much as I love shooting weddings, I *really* love having the time to pose people and go for a more high fashion look. I would love to incorporate that into my weddings more given the time on a wedding day." Christy's husband, Jeff, built the miniature room (don't you love it?) while Christy made the Mad Hatter’s jacket, and together they came up with the styling for the entire shoot.

Lisa's photography is simply top notch and you would never know that this shoot was photographed during a day of constant rain. Now it's time for the the rest of the photos - get ready to be amazed and it's totally ok to "pin" away :)

side note: When I was prepping the photos for this feature yesterday, my 6 year old daughter was looking on and telling me who each model represented from the movie {she's only seen Alice in Wonderland once before but remembered every part of the movie, names and all}. I can now say she's seen the movie twice as she asked to watch it again last night and it was available on netflix. I'm fairly certain it won't be the last time either as she has now said it's one of her favorite movies :)

Real Wedding : a destination Disney wedding with polka dots

I'm loving today's cheery wedding from Jason Angelini Photography in Florida. The subtle touches of polka dots are so fun with the black, white and yellow wedding colors - check out the grooms tie, the brides wrapped bouquet stems, and the cake. The bride and groom, Wendy and Eric knew they wanted to have an intimate and personal ceremony, so a destination Disney wedding was the perfect decision for them. The family and friends {just 17 total guests} had a great excuse for a vacation and the bride and groom had their honeymoon in Disney World. Eric's stepfather even officiated the ceremony.

Love the shot you see Cinderella's castle in the window?

Even though it was pouring rain outside, I love seeing a bride a groom embrace the inclement weather, always makes for a great photo shot.

Thank you Jason and Lucia for sharing today's beautiful wedding with my readers. You can see more from the wedding of Wendy and Eric here. And, of course, please be sure to visit the Jason Angelini Photography blog for many more wedding photos.
