I haven't thought too much about what to dive him. I know I wan it to be special and I want it to be something he will always remember. Part of me is thinking of writing and performing a song for him at our reception. He's an incredibly talented musician and makes me feel terribly self-conscious in comparison even though I have a strong music background myself. I've never sung in front of him despite his pleas so I think he would be completely touched if I did that. Our wedding date is 5-29-2010.

We're on a budget for our wedding so we haven't really thought about gifts other than the rings. These journals are very special though and would be a great gift for us.

My fiance and I are newly engaged. He proposed last week when we were in Jamaica for my birthday. I think the journal idea is really neat, we both used to keep journals, when we first started dating. We would write eachother love poems and our thoughts and feeling about our relationship. Somewhere it the mix of things and eight years later we have stopped the journal keeping. I think it is a great if we started writing in journals again.

I haven't really thougt about gifts yet, but this is a good reminder that I will need to sit down and really think about getting him something really special.

Thanks for the giveaway, those journals are so cute!

I don't feel the need to give each other gifts such as watch/cuff links/item etc. I prefer something sentimental and from the heart. For Christmas one year my fiance gave me a book entitled 12 Ways to say I Love You where he had written something special and meaningful, or shared a memory, on every page. I have always wanted to give something like that to him.

I have thought about just writing letters to each other on our wedding day, one to read, and one to put away until our first anniversary. That way we could write a letter at each anniversary and look back on our relationship that way.

My wedding day is October 16th, 2010.

I love these journals! I think they would be the perfect sentimental gift for my groom! (Our wedding is April 24, 2010, by the way).

Some other gift ideas I've thought of would be a pretty blanket, quilt or throw with our names and wedding date embroidered on them...we're both kind of cold-blooded and we enjoy cuddling up on the couch together for a movie or talking. I know it's something we'd use and enjoy.

I will be giving my future husband personalized handkerchiefs for both of us since he always has a handkerchief for me. I'm a little bit of a crier... The fact that he always has a handkerchief reminds me of my dad since he always has one too, so i thought it was an appropriate gift since it is so essential to our personalities with me being emotional and him taking care of me. Our wedding is on Friday September 11th in honor of his mother who passed away on that date.

I would choose the "My Parents" Journal. Nothing says thank you enough, but with the journal it can say how truely thankful I am to them for everything they have done throughout my life. IT would be a truely touching gift.

Date: December 26, 2009

I'm planning to give my fiance some locket cufflinks with a picture of his dad in one and his grandpa in the other. Both died so my fiance is "the man" of his family and I know he wishes they could be there with him on our big day.

I would really love this gift for my groom to be. He is a perfect man that takes care of me and my three kids. He went from not being a father to the best father of three someone could ever ask for. We are shooting for a day in June 2010, but haven't set an exact day as we are trying to work around the DJ's availability. I don't know what else I could give him that would be as special as this. He pretty much has no family of his own and he is so excited to make his family with my kids and myself. He really deserves a gift like this. Thanks, Shawna

I think these journals would make incredible gifts to one another. We could both fill out our journals throughout the wedding planning and then the day of present each other with the journals. I would have sentiments written by my man just for me and he would have my sentiments written for him. I can't think of much else that would be as meaningful as that!

For my groom... I have had this idea for a few months now... we are both very physically active but it has been a journey that we have done together. From neither one of us being able to run 1 mile, we are now half marathon ready! He has completed a couple of triathlons (with Iron Man being his ultimate goal) and I am hoping to do my first tri next year (I don't own a bike :-/ ). Anyway, my idea is that I want to take some classy black and white pictures (some actually running, etc outside and others...) showcasing the rockin' body I have achieved with his help. I know he appreciates it now but it is probably as good as it will ever be, so being able to preserve this moment in time would be priceless. I know he would love the "gift". It is awesome to be able to share our love of fitness together! Our wedding date: December 31st, 2010

My fiance and I are getting married 03/06/2010 and I cant think of a better gift then this journal. I think it's something that we can both write in as we go on this journey together towards marriage. My idea would be to trade the journals on our wedding day and read them throughout the day until we see eachother at the alter. It would be such a great idea to know and share all our feelings written as a keepsake that we could share with eachother.

My fiance and I are on a tight budget and we've decided not to give each other a wedding gift. We are not getting married until May 2010, hopefully we can squeeze in something simple and sentimental for each other.

I am such a writer! These journals would be a lovely way to keep a sentimental and lasting account of these first stages of love that my fiance and I are enjoying right now :)

My fiance and I are definate dreamers. He being 21 and I 20 we have alot of life and love and experiences to look forward to. We can talk for hours about things we hope for and the living our dreams in the best way possible: together. These talks and plans and goal making have been a big part of our relationship from the begining and I hope for it to be part of us forever.

I would love to give my groom a video or scrapbook of some sort that lays out all of the things that he has articulated to me that he wants in life, From a great relationship with his future children to a boat to spend time with family and friends on. I think this will both show him that I am here with him 100% to get to those goals and also that I hold him accountable to live up to the man I know he wants to, and can, be!

Our wedding date is set for the spring of 2010

I would love to give this gift to my groom! These journals are a very romantic thoughtful gift. II have not thought about a gift for him I got him a nice ring and I was thinking about getting him a second more casual ring. Our date is 8/8/09.

Mike has talked since we got engaged that he wants a pocket watch. He wants a photo of him standing in the church "waiting on me" ---He keeps saying he is going to go out and buy one, but I beat him to it. I bought him this beautiful engraved pocket watch that I hope he will cherish forever. I cannot wait to see the look on his face when he opens it. And look even more forward to the photos of him "waiting on me".

We are both very sentimental. So I think these journals would be perfect for us. They would definitely be something to always cherish and to look back through on anniversaries.

Our wedding date is 10.24.09.

Hi Ladies, this is Jennifer, owner of Lil' Angel Gifts and creator of the wedding party relationship journals.
I just wanted to touch base with you and say hello, and to thank Brenda for the opportunity to work with her on this give-away. (Much thanks, Brenda!)

I'm really enjoying reading all of your entries, and the special things you have planned for your grooms. Thank you for the positive feedback. It really is a pleasure to help brides (and grooms) with gifts for their special loved ones on such an important day.

I wish you all the best winning the For My Groom & For My Bride journal.
Have a beautiful wedding!

My fiance and I are on a bit of a budget. Looking thru some checklists of what we need and when to start coming up with them, we came across the gifts option. I loved exactly how he put it and that is we are giving ourselves to eachother. It is very much the truth and I couldn't ask for any other gift. I already have my gift. My wedding date is September 4, 2010.

I just got into the idea of making my own picture slideshows... I LOVE IT and its so personal and fun... So I want to make my soon to be husband a picture slideshow detailing our 6 year relationship and set it to all of the songs that remind me of US... I think he'll really appreciate this and love the idea of getting something personal instead of getting something expensive and flashy..

I am planning on having boudoir pictures taken for my fiance. I am working out so much to be in great shape for my wedding, why not have pictures to remember how great I looked for the big day? Very sexy but also artistic. Our wedding date is December 31st 2011 :)

July 9, 2009 | Unregistered CommenterMelissa

We did not think about any wedding gifts but the only gift that I would like to give him on our wedding day is a relaxing wedding day. I just want him and I to enjoy the day with no stress.

July 9, 2009 | Unregistered CommenterSabrina

we have discussed gift giving because I think it would be incredibly special to receive something on that day. the direction we are headed is to exchange letters to the other. it's something I plan to continue each anniversary. I think the journals would be a perfect way to begin that tradition!

My FI and I are very excited for our wedding day in Nov, I'm not much into expensive flashy things, I like the more memorable and personable. I'm going to give in a dollar bill dated 2001, since when we first met I borrowed a dollar to pay for a coke for my little cousin when we were on clearwater beach. Fate has it and over 8 years later we are still best friends and we are getting married. I'm going to frame the dollar bill and have a saying underneath it saying, " Now we are even, Love then, now and always. Love, Laura"

Although we haven't set an exact date yet, we are looking at getting married sometime next Spring. I think these journals would be a wonderful gift to each other. I can just imagine that it would even be fun filling one out for my FH. This is a wonderful idea. Thanks for sharing these with us!

July 9, 2009 | Unregistered CommenterBeth

I can see that my comment is among a lot of future brides, but as a future husband I agree that these journals would be the perfect gift to give each other...it's not the material gift, but the gift of each other that matters. I'm excited to be getting married to the love of my life sometime next April!
