Giveaway : Win a DVD of the BRIDE WARS movie + more

Paper Shouts and 20th Century Fox have teamed up to promote the release of the Bride Wars movie available on Blu-Ray and DVD on April 28th. One lucky reader will win a copy of the Bride Wars DVD and a $25 Paper Shouts gift certificate. {please see end of post for a great shopping discount from Paper Shouts}

Paper Shouts, known for "posh notes for life's big moments", offers invitations for bridal events and other special occasions in Traditional, Vintage and Modern designs to reflect your style. Paper Shouts invitations are budget friendly and now eco-friendly too, as all designer shouts are printed on 100% PCW recycled, heavyweight, uncoated paper and are shipped with 50% recycled envelopes.

I can't believe I haven't seen the movie yet, it seems like almost everyone in the wedding industry has. But, if you're like me and never got around to seeing it on the big screen, here's a synopsis of the movie from 20th Century Fox:
Liv (Kate Hudson) and Emma (Anne Hathaway), best friends since childhood, are always there for each other, through good times and bad. They even become engaged to be married within a few hours of one another. Together they plan their respective weddings, each to take place at New York’s ultimate bridal destination, the Plaza Hotel. But a clerical error and subsequent clash in wedding dates pits the two brides – neither of whom will step aside – against each other, in a competition that quickly escalates into all-out war.

Contest prize: Bride Wars DVD and a $25 gift certificate to Paper Shouts
Contest Deadline: CONTEST HAS NOW ENDED, WINNER HAS BEEN PICKED
Contest Question(s) to Answer: please leave a comment with your responses to these 2 ?'s:
1. which characters style do you relate more to?
{Emma's traditional, romantic style or Liv's couture, "only the best" approach}
2. which Paper Shouts card {from their Bridal Shouts section} do you like the best?
(be sure to click the links in the left column to see the full collection for each section)

Along with winning the Bride Wars DVD and a $25 gift certificate to Paper Shouts, the selected winner will then be entered into a Grand Prize drawing on the Paper Shouts website. Prizes include movie memorabilia such as the sunglasses worn in the movie by Kate Hudson and a movie one-sheet signed by Kate Hudson and Anne Hathaway and the Grand Prize is a great Mexican vacation—6 nights at the CasaMagna Marriott Cancun Resort and airfare for 2 on AirTran airlines.

And, Paper Shouts is offering all readers of Brenda's Wedding Blog 15% off on any orders placed by May 15th with coupon code BestWed (simply enter code in the promo code box at checkout area and then hit update).

Good Luck!

I love the Peapod Floral Photograph, its lovely and I am more the type that Emma's traditional, romantic style is.
Thanks

I loved Emma's traditional style. I saw the movie twice and fell in love with her dress. My wedding is actually keeping to a simple 1930's theme and I loved how she planned her wedding to be so glamorous but not over the top.
I love the "Branching Out Engagement" announcements at Paper Shouts. They are so cute and fit our color scheme perfectly!

I would have to say that I would be more like Emma's style because my wedding is definitely going to be more traditional/romantic. I really like the Black Vintage Lace shouts. I love the classiness of them.

Bride Wars is an awesome movie and I would love to own it. I am an Emma because I love the romance!! I am romantic at heart and can not wait to be married!! I am very traditional like Emma.
I love the invitations. My favs are the modern Paper Shouts Peach Floral and Pink and White Stripes invites.

I am the romantic, vintagey bride, so I guess I am more like Emma! My fave Paper Shouts is the Branching Out save the date~my Dad was a printer and his fave color was orange, I want to remember him by using orange on the papers...

I'm definitely the couture bride, and my fiance brings it out even more because he loves the BEST. He even proposed with a Tiffany ring... He's an amazing man and will be a wonderful husband :)

My favorite paper shouts style is
Spotted Rose Shower- It's beautiful, feminine and elegant.

I am definitely Emma's more traditional, laid back, romantic style, thats for sure. And it was a tough decision on the paper shouts because they were all so cute! But if I had to choose one, it would be the Bubble Gum Shower invites. I love the bright pink!

1. which characters style do you relate more to? probably Emma's traditional, romantic style
2. which Paper Shouts card {from their Bridal Shouts section} do you like the best? Definitely the Rose Springtime Floral designs

I am more the traditional, romantic style, like Emma and perfer simple over ornate. Not having seen the movie either, the "only the best" mentality doesn't sound very flattering.

My favorite invitation is the "Love Red Floral." I just love rich red colors! They are a more traditional looking pattern, but the color makes them fun.

I relate more with Emma I love the traditional, romantic, simple wedding style. These are fabulous invintations I also love the Love Red Floral. My colors are red and ivory so this would work perfect!! There are so many Paper Shout invite that I truly love!

My personality and taste is more like Emma. We are having our wedding as a traditional Vintage theme. I am wearing my mothers veil and my grandmas pearls.

Red Swirling Heart is my favorite from paper Shout. It falls perfect for our wedding Scheme (Red & White)

I like the Elegant Rose Floral, so pretty! I'm more like Emma, I like the traditional. I'm pretty simple and romantic and like the sweet. I don't care for over the top.

April 30, 2009 | Unregistered CommenterWindi

I definitely relate to Emma's character more. Having the "BEST" is not what is important to me. And if I had to choose a card I would, without a doubt, say the black vintage lace, so my style!!

I like Emma's style, I love the traditional, romantic look!

I think I would use the $25 to Thank You cards -- I love the Ocean Elegant Floral, it totally matches our style!

The Honeydew Metallic is the perfect shade. I love the unexpected twist of the colored background with the leaves in white. My style: Emma, of course! I'm all about tradition that has sweet significance (like when Emma wore her mother's wedding dress for her own wedding, when she wore the blue hairpin which she had found as a child at a lovely wedding).

I would have to say I relate more to Emma's style, much more into the romantic mood. I also love the Sky Blue Touch of Floral invite - So pretty!

May 1, 2009 | Unregistered CommenterChristine

I would love to get the "butter floral" engagement announcements and I'm definitely a Liv. I may not be able to afford "only the best", but I wish I could and I love her fun style.

May 1, 2009 | Unregistered CommenterMary Williams

I'm definitely more like Emma...a hopeless romantic. And for my favorite cards...I LOVE the Red Robin Engagement Invites. I've been looking for them some time now and those would be PERFECT!

May 1, 2009 | Unregistered CommenterAngelique

I like the Lace Ribbon Metallic-Spa Blue shouts, and I relate more toward Emma's style as well.

May 1, 2009 | Unregistered CommenterMeaghan

I would say that my style tends to lean more towards Liz. I may not be able to afford the best of the best but I work with what I've got. I love the Chocolate Touch of Floral, simple and not over the top with the flowers.

May 1, 2009 | Unregistered CommenterLeigh

I totally identify with Emma's style in the movie. My favorite invites are the Honey Dew Metallic.

May 1, 2009 | Unregistered CommenterMegan

I LOVED Bride Wars. I didn't get to see the whole thing and I've been DYING to see the end. Bride movies are my absolute favorite (especially as I'm less than 2 months away from my wedding!) Like most others, I think I relate to Emma most, although I saw things in both of them that reminded me of myself!

How in the world can I pick a favorite from the bridal shouts? I really love lace ribbon metallic spa blue shouts but there are so many I love!

Super fun giveaway! Thank you for hosting it!
