A Custom Wedding Gown - plus a special offer

I received the following email from Katie who is just starting to set up an online custom wedding dress/gown boutique called the Gown Studio. I wanted to share with you the details of her special launch offer which features a great opportunity. (above is an example of a custom gown)

Hello  Brides! We need your help! We are starting an online custom wedding dress boutique and need some example dresses. The first ten individuals to email us at gownstudio{at}gmail{dot}com before November 14th requesting and accepting a quote will get their dresses at cost (which includes everything from the dress itself to shipping without any price markup).

All of these dresses will be used on or website as examples, after being photographed, and displayed in our gallery of custom dresses. If you would like to take part in this special offer or have questions, please don't hesitate to contact us. Send us an email at GownStudio{at}gmail{dot}com or visit our website (which is still in the works), www.GownStudio.com.

PS:  please note that I have not seen any dresses created by the Gown Studio and therefore cannot form an opinion on the work, but I thought this was such a unique opportunity that I wanted to share it with you.

I am confused. Is it "free," as in the title of the post, or "at cost," as indicated in the body of the post? Thanks!

Hello! The promotion is offering dresses at cost. I wish we could give them away for free - maybe next time around! We are charging for them, but aren't making any profit off of them (to keep the prices as low as possible for the brides that are helping us out!)

It was nice reading your post. I needed to know such kind of information to update myself. I work in my friend’s boutique of flower girl dresses and also help in the online promotion.

Getting your own dressmaker make your bridal gown makes you identify with it the more. You are able to get an exact fit that does not require any modification. You can personally discuss your preferences, designs and fabric. You can visit her everyday and see how the dress is going.

It is quite fun to stand over your dressmaker as she cuts and designs your dress. You are able to converse with her, share jokes and become part of the process that resulted in the bridal gown that made you shine on your wedding day.
