Eye Candy Friday : v39 {a vintage DIY wedding w/ etsy goodies}

Earlier this week, I received an email from a reader of the blog, Dorie, who recently married in Memphis and created one of the most charming weddings using lots of vintage and DIY elements. Dorie made her veil using tulle from her mom's veil and she wore 3 strands of pearls - each one having been handed down from a different woman in her family. Enjoy the lovely wedding details below and be sure to visit Heidi Ryder Photography's blog for even more photos from Dorie and John's wedding.
The only fresh flowers at the wedding were for Dorie and her Maid of Honor's bouquet. The boutonnieres were made out of folded maps from Hope and Joy Studios on Etsy. The fresh flower bouquets were created by Gesture Gifts.
The vintage brooch on Dorie's bouquet was from her mother.
I'm loving the knot tying which Dorie tells me was John's idea. Dorie says he literally wanted to "tie the knot", so they got rope from his family's horse farm and climbing rope from Dorie's dad to represent each of their families.
Dorie made the cake topper with salt and pepper shakers, bits of her mom's wedding dress, some clay, and a vintage letterpress stamp.
Congratulations Dorie and John on an amazingly personalized and special wedding. And, thank you to Heidi Ryder Photography for allowing me to share these spectacular photos with my readers. Be sure to visit Heidi's blog for even more photos from Dorie and John's wedding.

And, lastly, Dorie was so kind to send over her list of wedding vendors for us all:
Photography by Heidi Ryder, Wedding Location was The Inn at Hunt-Phelan in Memphis, Photo Booth by Party Booths, Flowers by Gesture Gifts, Cupcakes from Sugar Bowl Cupcakes

And, now for the list of Etsy Artists:
men's boutonnieres: Hope and Joy Studios, corsages: MGMart, bird ring plate: Elm Studios, you are my sunshine sign: YeeHaw Industries, LOVE tote: Wedding Chicks, bird stickers on invitations: Seasonal Delights, invitation suite: Printable Press, hair flower: JMG Jewlery Designs

If you'd like to see more from Heidi with Dorie and John, you can see their rehearsal dinner and day-after session here.

Love the cupcake display, with the two love birds on top.
But literally tying the knot was the best!

I adore the personal touches to weddings! And I love the dress! Almost what I am looking for! Did the wedding reception have a DJ or a band? For our wedding, we are planning on having a Chicago Wedding Band play at our reception. I know it's going to be really special! But the wedding photos here are great! Thanks for sharing!

We had a friend DJ using our iTunes. It worked out really nicely and we had exactly the music we wanted! Plus, it was cheaper.

I just love vintage as a wedding theme, this couple have just a lovely vintage feel to their wedding. Such a pretty bouquet, with the vintage accessory.
