Winners Announced : The Gastronomy of Marriage {memoir} Giveaway

It's now time to announce the 5 winners of The Gastronomy of Marriage {a memoir of food and love} by Michelle Maisto. I asked entrants to leave a comment letting me know what their favorite dinner dish was to prepare and serve to either your special love or when guests come over?

Thank you to everyone who entered. Below are the 5 winners with their comments:

Erin: "This book would be simply amazing for my fiance, Bryan, and me. He's Filipino and I'm a foodie from good ol' Atlanta. (Although I really re-fell in love with food while working in a restaurant in France one year after college.) As we plan our engagement, we truly are blending two cultures together, and I'm excited to see both families together at the wedding on April 17 of next year. One of my new favorite meals is the Filipino dish called pansit bihon. With a base of rice noodles, soy sauce and garlic, it can include all types of meats and veggies; it's very versatile and very tasty (and helps when you need to clean out the fridge)! Whenever I would visit Bryan's family while we were dating, I would always request they make this dish. And I knew I had been accepted into the family when they let me learn their version of the recipe."

Tessa: "I'm all about comfort food, so homemade mac and cheese, roasted chicken with veggies, or a tuna casserole are the types of things I like to cook for my fiance. It's cozy and relaxing and they make great leftovers! We are getting married 5/15/10"

Ashley: "Our new favorite dish is a fabulous rich butternut squash bisque...perfect for these warm fall months. We are getting married 9/4/2010."

Jessica B: "My favorite meal to cook for my future hubby is Tator Tot Casserole :) He loves it and since he likes it so much i enjoy cooking it for him!! We are getting married on July 10, 2010."

Ashley: "love to cook stuffed portobellos with Italian sausage, homemade marinara and fresh mozzerella baked on top. My fiance said it's the best thing I've ever cooked him, and I make him a lot of things!!! 8-28-10"

Congratulations to all the winners - I'll be emailing each of you personally today for your mailing address. Please note: winner(s) have 48 business hours to reply or another winner will be selected.

A brand new contest launches later this morning. Up next . . . pink wedding reception details.
