Color Palette: grey and butter yellow
Happy New Year and welcome to all the newly engaged brides-to-be and wedding vendors that have just started coming to my daily wedding blog. And, a big thank you to all my current readers for making 2008 a great one - I'm looking forward to what 2009 will bring. To start - I've launched a brand new blog layout that features larger photos and easier navigation. I'd love to hear what you think, so please drop me a note at brenda{at}bestweddingsites{dot}com
This week I will be featuring posts on the hottest trends for 2009. For today, I have an inspiration board for you that all started with the adorable penguin cake topper (from Red Light Studio on etsy). As soon as I saw it, I knew the topper had to be incorporated into an inspiration board - so here's some ideas for a grey and yellow winter wedding. (I've also read that grey is being considered the new brown for 2009)

I love this color scheme :)
Where did you find those little penguins? They're adorable but I didn't see a link for them.
Hi Katrina - The penguin cake topper is from Red Light Studio on Etsy {link to store is here}. The link was included in the description above the inspiration board as this image was my starting point for this board. I've now included the link again in the resource list as well.
Hi - I absolutely love the look of the grey suit. Do you think this would work for a destination beach wedding? So far I have my dress which has pewter beading and lace. Originally I wanted the girls in all white, but because my dress is "diamond white," my dress may look dirty against theirs. Should I stick to a light grey with the guys in that shade of grey, or is that too "cold" for a beach wedding?
Does anyone know who makes that dress? it looks like exactly what I'm looking for!
Beautiful color scheme. I've always loved the way grey and yellow worked together.
